I'm Jan McRae, a hairstylist and master colorist with more than 40 years of experience. Over the years, I've learned that beautiful hair isn't about following a formula - it is about understanding the person wearing it.
I specialize in curly and textured hair, gray coverage and low-maintenance gray blending, along with precision scissor and razor cutting. As a Rezo Cut Certified curly hair specialist, I work with your hair's natural texture rather than fighting against it, whether your hair is wavy, curly, frizzy or somewhere in between.
Every appointment begins with a conversation. What do you want your hair to do? What has frustrated you in the past? What are we going to accomplish today? From there, we create a plan...together.
My goal isn't simply to make your hair look beautiful when you leave my chair. I want you to understand your hair and know how to recreate your results at home. I'll walk you through the products I use, how much to use, how to style your hair and what techniques work best for your unique texture.

As a Rezo cut Certified Curly Hair Specialist, Jan understands that textured hair can have different curl patterns, density and movement throughout the head. Your consultation begins with listening to your goals and understanding what you want your hair to do.
Education is a key part of every curly appointment. Jan will walk you through the products, techniques, and styling methods used during your appointment so you can recreate your results at home - with more confidence and less frustration.

Cancellation & No Show Policy
I understand that things happen, and I will always do my best to work with you. However, when an appointment is reserved for you, that time is set aside exclusively for you and cannot always be filled when cancelled at the last minute.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
24+ Hours’ Notice - No Charge
Less Than 24 Hours' - 50% of the Scheduled Service
No-Call/No-Show - 75% of the Scheduled Service
This policy applies equally to haircuts, color services, and other appointments. The fee is based on the value of the time reserved – not on how much product would have been used.
I understand that genuine emergencies happen, and emergency situations will be handled at my discretion. My goal is to be fair while also protecting the time I have reserved for each client.
Clients who repeatedly miss appointments or cancel at the last minute may be required to prepay or leave a deposit before future appointments can be reserved.
For clients without a card on file:
Some clients do not book online and may not have a card on file. This policy still applies. If there is no card available to charge, the applicable fee may be collected by requiring payment or a deposit before the next appointment can be reserved.
